The Other Mrs Miller by Allison Dickson. (2019).
**3.5 out of 5 stars**
Two women are watching each other and only one knows why. Phoebe isn’t sure when the car on her street appeared and originally thought it was related to the scandal around her late father, but she’s now certain it’s there for her and has no idea why. When a new family moves in across the street Phoebe becomes distracted and she’s no longer focused on the car, when really she should be. Because the woman in the car is waiting for the right opportunity to upend Phoebe’s life…
I had mixed feelings by the end of this book. Overall I definitely enjoyed it and found it really easy to read. However on the other hand it was almost ridiculously far-fetched. When I read a thriller I like it if at least a good proportion of the storyline is believable or at least imaginable, and I really don’t think the events in this novel can be classified as that. Phoebe was both interesting and for me, unlikable. The narrative was quite fast-paced and full of secrets and twists. You basically couldn’t trust any character as they all seemed a bit dodgy haha.
This novel is an entertaining thriller that fans of the genre will likely enjoy (a lot of readers are very highly praising this one).
