How to Keep a Secret by Sarah Morgan. (2018).

How to Keep a Secret by Sarah Morgan. (2018).

**3.5 out of 5 stars**

Nancy knows she hasn’t been the best mother, but can she tell her daughters why? Lauren and Jenna are very close sisters and as children decided to keep a devastating secret from their mother, but is it time to tell her? Lauren’s teenage daughter Mack is in pain and keeping everyone at a distance, especially her mother. Will a virtual stranger show her the real meaning of family?
The women are thrown together after a tragedy and it’s time to relearn how to be a family and let the secrets out.

The storylines in this book had some serious family drama/issues throughout (death, infidelity, infertility, dysfunctional parent child relationships, financial issues, long-held secrets etc). Despite this serious tone it was really easy to read. The book switches between Nancy, Jenna, Lauren and Mack’s point of views. I did think that some of the issues and problems were all cleared up a bit too neatly in the end, but some readers may really enjoy that and there isn’t anything wrong with happy endings to problems. I admired the strong and close bond between the sisters Jenna and Lauren and how they supported one another no matter what.
I think this would make a lovely holiday read for those that enjoy family drama novels.
