The Lost Man by Jane Harper. (2018).

**5 out of 5 stars**

Cameron is found dead at a stockman’s grave landmark in the middle of nowhere. Nobody knows why he is dead. His family are left grieving and trying to find answers. Did he do it himself? If not….what happened? His brother Nathan is going to find out.

This is my third date with this particular author and the attraction hasn’t worn off yet haha. But in all seriousness, this is Jane Harper’s best so far (in my opinion). It’s a slow burner mystery thriller and to be honest I couldn’t handle the suspense so a few times I flipped a few pages ahead and skim read just so I could satisfy my curiosity and then went back and properly read it (terrible of me, I know!). The author has a real talent of describing the Australian landscape beautifully and making it easy for the reader to imagine the location. The characters and their respective issues/dramas are all very realistic. Just an excellent novel overall. Jane Harper is definitely an author to keep your eye out for!
