The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. (2016).

The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. (2016).

*3.5 out of 5 stars*

This novel is different (just like the TV show haha). It is written in the form of a dossier and includes typewritten sections as well as ‘handwritten cursive’ sections; both with annotations by the character ‘analysing the dossier’. While this is quite a cool concept, sometimes it was hard to read the handwritten notes. If you’ve watched Twin Peaks (the old series), you’ll enjoy the references but if you haven’t then you’ll definitely get a few spoilers. Surprisingly a lot of the ‘history’ wasn’t related to the TV series, it was more about general history of the area mixed in with conspiracy theories, UFO sightings and government investigations into extraterrestrial activity.
I enjoyed the book; it did take me quite a while to get through in comparison to how quickly I normally read.
