*3.5 out of 5 stars*

Fi arrives home to find strangers moving into her house. She has no idea what is going on and can’t get in contact with her husband Bram. Bram has made a catastrophic mistake and now he is paying. Both Bram and Fi try to make sense of the events that led to this.

This book is a mystery/thriller. Fi’s story is primarily told in the form of a podcast interview for the public; Bram’s is primarily told from a written Word document confession. I quite like the way it was written, but it did feel a bit slow at times. I am a bit in two minds about this book; I did enjoy it but at the same time I found parts of it quite unbelievable. Now I know one should keep an open mind when reading fiction, that’s the point, but sometimes I just can’t stretch to thinking that elements of a storyline are plausible and this is one such book for me. Overall it was a well written engaging story that would probably make a good book to take on holiday with you. An average rating of 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads from over 2000 reviews indicates to me that most people who have read this book have quite enjoyed it!
